I’m sure I have told you before (and if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you’ll know) that I’m writing a book. These past few months I have been focusing on my book, which have meant that the blog have suffered. I actually haven’t done a single DIY project.
I’m sure it goes without saying that I am really excited about my book.
I started writing it about 6 years ago, and I have been writing on and off since I started and didn’t really feel that I was getting anywhere.
Then, about 10 months ago, inspiration struck, and it felt like I could keep writing for days without a break (obviously I had breaks, I had to eat and sleep).
I tried to make a plan for when to write and when to blog, and for 3 months or so I actually managed to stick to the plan (roughly).
3 months ago something happened. I made a decision to finish and publish my book during this year, and at this point I am halfway through editing, the cover is being made by a friend and talented artist. When I am done editing, I will send my manuscript to my beta-readers and if all goes as planned, my book will be published on Amazon some time in November, but I will of course let you know when it is published.
Eyes of Silver
Eyes of Silver is the title of my book that will be the first in a series of at least 3 books. It is a fantasy novel (no surprise there), starting out in a home in New York.
Clarissa Silver is a young woman in her last year of high school. She doesn’t have a lot of friends because she prefers the company of books. She likes to escape into the fantasy worlds of the many books in her book case and imagine that her life is as exciting as the main characters.
Her best and oldest friend Damon makes sure that she get out of her room and away from the books, and one night when they are out Silver meets a guy with bright green eyes that turns her life upside down when he reveals to her that she is a witch.
Although it is everything she has dreamed of, she is sure that it must be a joke, until she is shown proof that magic is real.
To Silver’s dismay, it turns out that Silver doesn’t have any control over her powers and her body hasn’t chosen an element yet. So, along with the green-eyed guy she sets out to control her powers and find her footing as a witch. She picks up a few new friends along the way that helps her to realize who she is and helps her on her journey.
I have to say that I’m sorry that I have neglected the blog these past 3 months, but I have had to prioritize my time which meant that I sacrificed the time I would have spent on the blog.
Even my DIY projects have suffered and I haven’t been making anything DIY since the last DIY post I did.
My plan for now is to make at least one blog post a month (hopefully more). I have one about mermaid lore in the making at the moment, and I will of course get back to my DIY’ing.
For some time now I have been thinking about making a video, showing how to make the dragon eggs, because I know that they are a bit tricky to make, but I can’t say when that will happen.
If you have any suggestions for DIY projects that you want me to make, please comment down below and I will do my best to make it happen.
